Why You Should Enjoy Each Day

Each day is but one step in the journey of our lives. It’s true. Whether in business, family, friendship, each day is unique and special. So why focus on the long-term without being your best self every day?

We all do it. We all forget the importance of each individual day. Every morning that you wake up is a gift. A special time to put your best self forward and achieve. Here are five things you can do each day to live to the fullest:
  1. Laugh. Laugh each day and you will be happier and healthier. Not to mention, you will attract other positive and happy people to your personal circle. What could be better?
  2. Smile. Smiling is known to make you and others feel better. So why not do it? Smile in person, on the phone, even when sending that text or instant message. It shows.
  3. Hug someone. Seriously, find someone you care about and give them a hug. Not just a dainty, I’m hugging you for hugging-sake hug, but a true, hold-them-hug. Trust me on this.
  4. Think. Take time to think about things in your life. The good, the bad, and hopefully nothing too ugly. This time should be quiet. A true reflection of your daily journey.
  5. Drink water. Do you now how many people are dehydrated and therefore miserable? We’re made of water people! Staying hydrated has numerous physical and mental health benefits. So skip that 2 pm latte and drink water.

“If you want to be happy, be. “

-Leo Tolstoy

Enjoy Each Day

Each day is something special. It’s unique and presents unique opportunities to achieve. So while you’re laughing, thinking, giving out hugs, smiling and downing that water, enjoy it. I personally laugh, think, smile and drink a ton of water each day. The hugs come from my family.

Each day is special, but the key is choice. Choose to enjoy every day.
