Creative Jumpstart: Are You Crazy To Make Art?

Are you crazy to make art? Or at least try to make art? I guess art-making requires a little crazy at times. Let me tell you there is nothing crazy about making art.

Without creative expression, humanity would be lacking. We as individuals would lack a basic human trait.

Don’t believe me?

Art Adds A Few Things To Life

  • Happiness
  • Soul-filling joy
  • Beauty to our space
  • An outlet
  • Focus
  • Stress-relief
  • Simple fun

What you choose to create is completely up to you. There lies the true beauty, I feel, because what you create is yours. No one else can claim it. If you haven’t created something ever (doodling in your notebook in 5th grade counts) get making.

Imagine that feeling of making something that is truly yours. In our world of mass produced replication, a unique thing, made by you is special.

“Creativity is putting your imagination to work, and it’s produced the most extraordinary results in human culture.”

-Ken Robinson

Adding that joy to your life is a purpose unto itself. Give yourself the permission to create. Pursuing that creativity enhances not just your life, but your career. If you’re an entrepreneur, adding more creativity to your business will help you prosper.

Creating art isn’t crazy. There is nothing crazy about pursuing your own creative purpose. Relax, fill yourself with joy and happiness. Of course, my artwork is inspired by nature so I strongly encourage you to get outside. Get into nature and enjoy what the Good Earth has given us.

What inspires you to create?
